The fiber optics collect ambient light, and the tritium illuminates the reticle - automatically adjusting the reticle brightness. These RMR sights are battery free and available in either amber or green reticle colors. If green is your color choice you have the option of a 9.0 MOA dot or a 12.9 MOA triangle. Amber is available in a 7.0 MOA dot, 9.0 MOA dot, 13.0 MOA dot and also the 12.9 MOA triangle. A triangle reticle is used in two ways; the tip of the triangle is a fine for precision shooting or distance shooting, the entire reticle can be used for rapid in close shooting situations. The green triangle is the most popular in the Dual Illuminated series.
Which Dot Size is Right for You?
- 7.0 MOA dot is popular for the smallest aiming point of Trijicon’s Dual Illuminated models
- 9.0 MOA dot is used by the US Marine Corps in both the SMO and MDO programs
- 12.9 MOA triangle had the multi-function of using the tip for a fine aiming solution or distance shooting, or using the entire reticle for rapid acquisition in close shooting situations
